About Me
I've always been drawn to programming through a fascination with problem-solving. There's something deeply satisfying about breaking down complex challenges into elegant solutions that real people interact with every day. This is what makes frontend development so fulfilling for me - it sits at the intersection of technical challenges and user experience.
My journey started with game development at Uppsala University, where I learned to think about user interaction and complex systems architecture. Leading teams on projects that were showcased at conferences taught me that great software isn't just about code - it's about understanding how people think and what they need. Those lessons from game development, particularly around user psychology and problem-solving, continue to shape how I approach web development today.
As Lead Frontend Developer at Exopen, I value the technical freedom to make meaningful decisions and the collaborative team environment we've built. My approach centers on user-first thinking while maintaining a pragmatic balance between ideal solutions and real-world constraints. I believe the best software comes from understanding the people who use it, then solving the technical challenges to deliver that experience.
Outside of work, I'm a lifelong gamer with a passion for competitive FPS and tactical shooters. Following the e-sports scene keeps me connected to the gaming world that first sparked my interest in technology. I also love getting outdoors and traveling to experience different cultures and cuisines - there's nothing quite like exploring a new city and discovering its food scene. I'm constantly tinkering with side projects, which is how I learn best - building something real, breaking it, and figuring out why.
Throughout my career, what I'm most proud of are the technical challenges I've tackled - those moments where you dig deep, solve something complex, and come out with a better understanding of your craft. That's what keeps me engaged and excited about development after all these years.
